Safeco Insurance Company changes for 2026

Safeco Insurance Company, founded in 1923, is retiring their name in 2026.  The Insurer will operate under their parent company's name, Liberty Mutual going forward.  Our office relationship spans 77 years with Safeco, and we've been grateful and proud to have had the solid, steady, quality insurer as a significant part of our operation.  Together with their name change, several lines of Insurance will no longer be maintained with Liberty Mutual - First National Insurance Company Homeowner Policies, Condominium, Renters, Watercraft, and Classic Car Policies will be non-renewed at their next expiration date.  We are actively remarketing these lines to avoid lapses in Coverage.  The agency founder, Matthew Barulich, started his career with Safeco Insurance Company in 1946, working as an underwriter until becoming an agent and broker in 1948.  We bid farewell to the Safeco name, as it sails into the sunset!
